The holidays are full of traditions. For some, it’s about the food; for others, it’s about family gatherings, songs, or the ritual of decorating. For me, Christmas had always been about one thing: the Advent calendar.

Every December, my family would gather in the living room on the first of the month, eager to open the tiny door on the calendar, revealing chocolates, small trinkets, or festive messages. It wasn’t just about the sweet treats or the novelty; it was about marking the days together, counting down to the big day, and savoring the slow anticipation that Christmas brings.
